Garden City-based Morningside Catches Eye of Lifestyle Guru Rachael Ray
29 April 2009
BOISE, Idaho – Simple Originals, the newest bath & body line from Garden City-based Morningside Products LLC recently caught the eye of cooking and lifestyle guru, Rachael Ray.
One Simple Originals product and fragrance in particular, Tomato Blossom Wash, will be featured in the “FAVES Head to Toe” section of the June issue of Everyday with Rachael Ray which will be out on newsstands this week. Simple Originals, launched in 2007, is the “natural” extension of the Originals line. Simple Originals formulas are safe, effective and are made with premium ingredients. The products are 98% naturally derived, are not tested on animals and the packaging is recyclable. “I think our commitment to “balance” is what appealed to Rachael Ray. We provide great quality product and beautiful packaging at a reasonable price. It is a great fit for Rachael Ray with her ‘simple and straight forward approach to life philosophy,” said Hollis Brookover, Morningside President. “We’re thrilled that she has chosen to recognize Simple Originals Tomato Blossom Wash in her June issue and thank her for her vision as we all benefit from her great ideas.”
Rachael Ray, syndicated television star, iconic Food Network television personality, and bestselling cookbook author, got her start using her simple approach to cooking on daytime TV. She started using that same philosophy toward everyday problems and watched her popularity explode. She has won a Daytime Emmy Award, seven of her cookbooks have been on the New York Times best seller list, and in 2006, Forbes voted her the #2 “Most Trusted Celebrity.”
In 2005, using that vision of simple solutions and a can-do spirit, Rachael launched a lifestyle magazine entitled, Everyday with Rachael Ray, of which she is editor-in-chief.
In addition to sharing a simple approach to everyday aspects of life, Brookover and Ray share another passion. Both, it seems, have founded non-profit organizations that benefit children. Brookover is a founder and president of Idaho Voices for Children, which advocates for the education, health, safety, and family economic security of Idaho’s children. In 2007, Ray launched Yum-o!, an organization that works to educate kids and their families about cooking, feeding hungry American kids, and funding cooking education and scholarships.
